Part-FCL Aerobatic Rating / AOPA Aerobatic Certificate

Learn to fly aerobatics safely, comfortably and enjoyably in our Extra 200.  The AR is required for Part FCL licence holders to fly aerobatics.  We will cover all the basic Aresti figures such as loops, rolls and spins. Most importantly we will give you confidence in how to recover when they get a bit pear shaped.  The AR course is a minimum of 8 hours ground school and 5 hours flight training.  There is no obligation to book the whole course - we can offer a taster aerobatics training session to see if you like it first (you will.)

For non-FCL licences we deliver the AOPA Aerobatic Certificate programme.

Tailwheel Differences Training

Learn to fly conventional gear aircraft on our classic Citabria.  Tailwheel differences training will open up the world of aerobatic aircraft, farm strip flying and will set you on the path to sky-god status in no time.

NPPL(M) to NPPL (SSEA)

Upgrade your NPPL (Microlight) to NPPL (Simple Single Engine Aircraft) with us.  The course is tailored to your individual needs but must include instrument flying appreciation and stall/spin awareness training.  Your instructor will give you confidence to pass the NPPL(SSEA) GST with flying colours.

Delivered on our Citabria aircraft this course incorporates tailwheel differences training.

Formation Training

Flying close formation is a demanding challenge of handling finesse and teaches the skills of leadership and teamwork in an aviation environment. We can deliver tailored formation training in our aircraft or yours if it is suitable.

Aerobatic Competition Coaching

Develop your aerobatic skills and join the great community of competition pilots with our Advanced level coach.  All training is tailored to your individual needs and goals, and is a great way to follow on from the AR.

Spin and Advanced Stalling Training

No longer part of the PPL/CPL syllabus, we believe all pilots should experience spinning and learn how to recover from one safely.  There are countless GA incident reports where inadvertent spins were a factor – learn and gain confidence in a safe environment flying our Extra 200.

Upset Recovery Training

What would you do in the event of a wake turbulence encounter resulting in an aircraft upset?  A vital flight safety course for any pilot, we will teach you to recover from any plausible light aircraft upset in our Extra 200.  Training is tailored to your individual needs and goals.

Short Field / Farm Strip Flying

A hugely enjoyable and challenging course delivered using our Citabria or on your own aircraft (if suitable).  Explore the world of farm strip flying and learn the skills required to land on strips inaccessible to the usual training fleet.  Once you have completed the course you will be welcome to take our Citabria to the wilderness and camp under her wing.

Aerobatic Instructor

An instructor wishing to give aerobatic instruction must hold this qualification – we will tailor the training delivered to the individual trainee instructor so that they enter their Aerobatic Instructor Assessment of Competence confident and able to deliver instruction to a high standard.  There is no minimum flight training or groundschool hours, as the course is based on the train to proficiency concept.  We can deliver this training on our Extra 200 or your own aerobatic aircraft (if suitable).

SEP Renewal, Revalidation & Refresher Training

We can deliver SEP class rating training, renewals, revalidations and tailored refresher training in your aircraft or ours.  Our instructors are experienced in a huge range of types (including EFIS, complex, high performance, turbine, tailwheel etc.).  We have an in-house EASA & UK CAA SEP examiner for any required proficiency checks or administrative tasks you may have.

Media & Bespoke Aviation Consultancy Services

We also offer bespoke consultancy services for media, TV and filming, including air-to-air and air-to-ground filming and photography.  We can source aircraft, pilots or locations and provide technical advice for whatever your project.

We have experience working with two major TV studios in the UK and several social media channels - please contact us to discuss how we can help deliver your vision.
